Okay, so after reading the bit on
RSS feeds on orangefever.net, I decided to give it a try as I am also getting annoyed at going around and reading stale blogs - plus, I like to have all of my news combined in one area (hence my.yahoo.com). Anyway, so I installed
Sage, an extension for Firefox for RSS and ATOM feed aggregator and it's pretty nifty. With alt-s, I've got links to sites that publish RSS feeds and by clicking on them, I generate a simple page with their articles, starting from their most recent on top. Very convenient :D In fact, I just wasted a good hour or 2 just reading news... However, my Sage would be more useful still if ppl who use blogger also publish their blogs in ATOM format (it's in your Settings->Site Feed)... And for those who have their own site, write a script that'll do the same pls??? I'm a lazy bum and I don't want to have to click my way around :D
But Firefox also has several other
extensions also that might be nifty. For one, they've got a
StockTicker for the browser that is pretty nifty and I know one of my business friend loves it (and so might you, you linux/firefox freak - yeah, I'm talking about you!) Personally, I like
WeatherFox, which pulls forecasts from weather.com for a city of your choosing and populates them in the browser (I've got it populated in my status bar, but u can change that). Now I no longer have to access www.uwaterloo.ca/weather.html for local weather! All I have to do is glance down while checking my email :P Ahhhh, gotta love technology, makes life so much easier!
Oh yeah, I didn't win anything at the last MS seminar, so yeah, unlike what you claimed, I don't win everything!!@#
